Combined cycle Power Plant
The Pareh sar power plant is the country's first private sector combined cycle power facility. With a total capacity of 968 MW, it comprises two gas blocks, each generating 162 MW, and a 160 MW steam unit. Spanning an area of 100 hectares, the plant is situated in Gilan province, just 5 km from Rezvanshahr in the Paresar district. This project employs a once-through cooling system that utilizes seawater for cooling. Additionally, a significant portion of the equipment for the power plant has been supplied by MAPNA Group factories.
Key features of this power plant include three fuel tanks, each with a capacity of 20,000 cubic meters, capable of maintaining operations for up to 45 days in the event of a gas outage. The electricity generated by the Paresar combined cycle power plant is transmitted to the national electricity grid via a 230 kV substation and eight feeders. The gas turbine employed in this facility is of the V94.2 type, while the steam turbine is classified as E Type.
In this project, Ameran is responsible for overseeing the design and providing site supervision services as a consultant to the client.
